Georgian-Azerbaijani confederation is a format of future relations

PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgian-Azerbaijani relations are more than strategic partnership, Georgia’s top diplomat said.

“Mikheil Saakashvili’s statement on creation of a confederation was not based on emotion. He just described the essence of bilateral relations,” Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze stated in Yerevan.

“The President’s statement prompts the format of future cooperation. Constitutions will not be amended,” he said.

Saakashvili voiced the idea of a confederation between Georgia and Azerbaijan in July 2010.
