AZERBAIJAN EXAGGERATES ITS SUCCESS IN THE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE

The members of the Armenian delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the CE have denied the information spread by Baku mass media that the Azerbijanian deputies succeeded to push some documents concerning the Karabakh conflict through PACE. According to the words of the head of the Armenian delegation Hovanes Hovhanisian, the document on ecological situation in the safety zone around Nagorny Karabakh was signed by not 43 - as Azeris contend, but only 16 deputies; the document on destruction of Azerbaijanian cultural monuments on the territory, which is controlled by the Karabakh army - only by 18. It is noticeable, that 12 of them were deputies of Azerbaijan and Turkey and the others were Russia's deputies representing Muslim peoples. Both the documents named were passed to corresponding commissions and they made a note of it.
