ACOORDING TO EXPERTS' OPINION, "ARMENTEL" "BOUGHT" EDITORS

Armen Simonyan, vice-president of Advertising Association of Armenia, today at the discussion with journalists stated that the advertising company held by "ArmenTel" was not proper and was contrary to the principles of ethics. According to his words, the aim of the ad of the telecommunication monopolist, placed in all republic social-political newspapers was to "tame" Armenian press and to persuade it to refrain from the critical publications about "ArmenTel". To confirm his words he mentioned the fact that the local Media, until recently, actively criticizing the action of "ArmenTel", did not show proper interest regarding the admitting of the by the minute payment system. Even more, no editorial offices, published well-paid advertising, according to Simonyan, did not comment the conflict between "ArmenTel" and Yerevan firm "WestSoft", which is at its height.
