PARLIAMENTARY FORCES OF ARMENIA GIVE CRITICAL ASSESSMENT TO COMMUNISTS' INITIATIVE

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, May 17. /Mediamax/. All the political forces, represented in the parliament, excluding the communists, speak against Armenia's joining to Russia-Belarus Union, deputy from National-Democratic Union (NDU) faction, Filaret Berikian said today at a briefing in Yerevan.

In his opinion, the activity of the communists in this issue is caused by the influence of both outer and internal "impulses". The latter, Berikian said, emerge as a result of the hard socio-economic situation in the country.

Member of "Orinats Yerkir" faction, Sergo Yeritsyan noted that many in Russia and Belarus have no clear idea about the Union agreement. He expressed the opinion that Armenia must develop bilateral relations with Russia and Belarus, not limiting its sovereignty.

Leader of "National Unity" faction, Artashes Geghamian assumes that Armenia's joining to Russia-Belarus union at this stage can "bring to sad consequences". --0--
