ARMENIA WILL BECOME FULL MEMBER OF WTO BY THE END OF THE YEAR, PRESIDENT KOCHARIAN SAID

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, May 10. /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Robert Kocharian said today, speaking at "Armenia Investor Conference 2001" business forum in New York, that Armenia will become full member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) before the end of the year.

President Kocharian said Armenia's accession process to WTO has been an important motivation to further legislative adjustments to higher benchmarks.

Armenian President noted also that within the framework of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the European Union Armenia has launched a program for a gradual upgrading and harmonisation of our legal norms and practices to EU standards.
