UN COMMISSION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS UNANIMOUSLY PASSED CONVENTION ON GENOCIDE PREVENTION PROPOSED BY ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, April 26. /Mediamax/. The 57 session of the UN Commission for Human Rights unanimously passed Wednesday in Geneva the "Convention about prevention and punishment of the crime of genocide", proposed on the initiative of Armenia.

As Mediamax was informed today in the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry, the adoption of the convention was the result of long talks with member-states of the UN Commission for Human Rights. More than 20 countries have spoken as co-authors of the convention proposed by Armenia. --0--
