CHARLES AZNAVOUR CELEBRATES 79-TH BIRTHDAY IN HISTORIC HOMELAND

PanARMENIAN.Net - "I want to celebrate my birthday in Armenia for the first time in my life," - worldwide famous French singer of Armenian descent Charles Aznavour, who is in Yerevan at present and is 79 today, told journalists. "I have to confess a test was needed, as I would like to celebrate my 100-th birthday here," - the singer joked. It should be reminded that Charles Aznavour arrived in Yerevan May 20 accompanied by his son Misha. During these days he visited "Khor Virap" cloister complex and other sights of Armenia. He also met with the leadership of the Yerevan branch of the Fund of Armenian Aid, discussing issues of the Fund interaction with "Aznavour to Armenia" philanthropic organization sponsored by him.
