PERSPECTIVES OF DEEPENING MILITARY-POLITICAL INTEGRATION WILL BE CONSIDERED AT THE YEREVAN SUMMIT OF CSA ON MAY 24-25

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, April 14. /Mediamax/. Perspectives of deepening the military-political integration and "filling" the Collective Security Agreement (CSA) with more concrete practical content will be discussed in Yerevan on May 24-25 at the summit of the heads of CSA member-states, Secretary General of Collective Security Council (CSC), Valerie Nikolayenko said today at a briefing in Yerevan.

He noted that the CSA Caucasian direction, the responsibility for formation of which carry Russia and Armenia, will play "a great role in providing security in the region". According to Nikolayenko, this is especially important in light of the fact that Armenia doesn't have common borders with the rest of the CSA member-countries.

Valerie Nikolayenko said that the question of interaction and coordination of activity of the three CSA directions - the European, Caucasian and Central-Asian - will be also considered at the Yerevan summit. Besides, CSC Secretary General said, the presidents will discuss a number of questions of international policy at the summit in Yerevan. --0--
