People trust ANC and Ter-Petrosyan’s wisdom, opposition representative says![]() April 8, 2011 - 19:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s former deputy prosecutor general Gagik Jhangiryan said during the April 8 rally of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) that the opposition’s struggle is a liberation one and it is aimed against the regime, which has usurped the power. He stated that it is high time to put aside personal and partisan ambitions to unite efforts for gaining the authorities’ resignation. Jhangiryan noted that middle and lower echelon officials have started secretly and openly joining ANC. He believes that the people trust the ANC political team and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s wisdom. Leader of Republic party Aram Sargsyan said for his part that the rally participants will again enter Liberty Square. “We struggle for our descendants’ future,” said Sargsyan. According to him, the bigger is the number of ANC rally participants, the sooner victory and authorities’ resignation will be achieved. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
