Stepan Safaryan urges to stop Heritage-ANC confrontationApril 12, 2011 - 16:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage parliamentary group leader Stepan Safaryan urged to stop confrontation between the Heritage and Armenian National Congress (ANC). At news conference in Yerevan, Safaryan characterized the situation as negative for the whole oppositional field. At the same time, he expressed doubt over ANC’s readiness to stop the conflict with Heritage. “ANC has to stop the confrontation, however, after April 8 statement by Ter- Petrossian, I doubt it will happen.” By his statement ANC leader expressed support for media attacks on Heritage leader Raffi Hovannisian, Sargsyan said. “ANC aims to introduce new rules of a political game, seeking to blame other opposition forces for the failure of its dialogue with the authorities.” Top stories The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
