British parliamentarians commemorate Armenian Genocide victims in Yerevan![]() April 19, 2011 - 15:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A delegation of British parliamentarians headed by Caroline Cox, Chairwoman of the British-Armenian Parliamentary Friendship Group, visited Tsitsernakaberd the Memorial to Genocide Victims. The parliamentarians laid wreaths at the memorial, also leaving written records in the record book at the museum. Baroness Cox expressed her satisfaction over the delegation’s visit to Armenia, as well as the site symbolizing tragic events of 1915. A delegation member, Baroness Shreela Flather in turn, noted that the parliamentary group is taking best efforts to increase the British society’s awareness of the Armenian Genocide and the truth behind the 1915 events. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
