LEADER OF "UNITY" FACTION REFUTES INFORMATION THAT EX PM OF ARMENIA LEFT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

PanARMENIAN.Net - 06.02.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Leader of the "Unity" faction Galust Sahakian refuted today the rumors that ex prime minister of Armenia Aram Sarkisian and ex minister for state taxes Smbat Ayvazian left the Republican party.

G. Sahakian told the journalists today that neither A. Sarkisian nor S. Ayvazian informed the Republican party leadership about their intention to leave it.

Some Armenian papers reported today that ex premier Aram Sarkisian and ex minister for state taxes Smbat Ayvazian decided on February 5 to leave the Republican party.

Ex mayor of Yerevan Albert Bazeyan, deputies of the parliament Ghukas Ulikhanian and Ara Ketikian, as well as the deputy public health minister Artak Zeynalian quitted the Republican party last week. --0--
