THE GENERAL PLAN OF STEPANAKERT APPROVED

PanARMENIAN.Net - 06.02.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The NKR Government has approved the general plan of restoration, reconstruction and improvement of the Republic's capital - Stepanakert, till 2020.

According to NKR Minister of Urban Development Vagharshak Palanjanian, construction-assembly jobs, amounting to more than 972 million drams, were carried out in Stepanakert last year. About 587 million drams of them were directed to the improvement of the citizens' social conditions.

Restoration of the dwelling fund and industrial objects, destroyed and damaged in the course of the Azerbaijan-Karabakh war, is among the primary tasks. To this end, the Government allocated 350 million drams last year. 45 houses of the deceased soldiers' families have been repaired in Stepanakert; the shoe, furniture, bread baking, dairy, meat and other factories are operating in the capital. --0--
