A break is announced in the criminal proceeding on former Mayor of Karabakh's capital Stepanakert Karen Babayan, who is accused of abuse of his position, forgery and deviation from paying taxes, illegal carry of arms and ammunition. Plaintiff Mangassarian, who represented the state tax department of Karabakh came up with petition to send an inquiry to the Ministry of State incomes of Armenia for clarifying the circumstances of delivery of one of three "Mercedes" cars illegally brought to Karabakh, as well as to determine a person on which this car is registered for levying state duties and taxes. Presumably this car, as well as the two others are registered on the Armenian citizen. The overall damage caused to the former Mayor of Stepanakert to the state budget is estimated at 6,237 bln drams. Under the data of proceeding the Mayor has given an official permission for import of the aforementioned cars. Karen Babayan himself rejects his complicity to the deal.
