PETITION ON CONDUCT OF ANOTHER MEDICAL CHECK-UP OF ONE OF THE ACCUSED WILL BE HEARD TODAY IN STEPANAKERT

PanARMENIAN.Net - 08.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today the trial of the terrorist act against RNK President in Stepanakert will start with the solicitation of Sasun Aghajanian's lawyers. Sasun Aghajanian is accused of being the direct executor of March 22 terrorist act.

Mediamax was informed that the lawyers appealed to the court to conduct Aghajanian's complex medical check-up for confirmation that Aghajanian, who does not eat for four days, is physically able to take part in the trial.

On November 7 the court has heard the testimonies of the head of forensic-psychiatric department of Noubarashen psychiatric hospital of Armenia Aida Kaghramanian. The examination and treatment of Aghajanian was conducted from August 28 to October 17. The doctor said that Aghajanian was checked-up by the medical commission and resumed that his physical and mental state is not threatened by vital danger. According to Aida Kaghramanian Aghajanian controls his actions.

The trial of the case of the March 22 terrorist act against RNK President Arkady Ghukasian began on September 18 in Stepanakert. The main accused of the case is RNK ex defense minister, Lieutenant-General Samvel Babayan. -0-
