ARMENIAN PRESIDENT WAITS FOR DIASPORA'S SUPPORT TO CELEBRATE THE 1700-th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ADOPTION OF CHRISTIANITY

PanARMENIAN.Net - 29.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. It would be desirable if in 2001, when Armenia will officially celebrate the 1700th anniversary of adoption of Christianity as national religion, one representative of each family living in diaspora would come to Armenia.

The President of Armenia Robert Kocharian stated this today at the meeting with representatives of the Armenian diaspora, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press office of the president of the country.

President Kocharian noted that for realizing the festivities on a worthy level, the Armenian authorities will need material and organizational support by the Armenian diaspora. -0-
