Armenia will always have France’s political support – Sarkozy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will always have France’s political support, French President said.

“France attaches great importance to relations with Armenia and this visit is strategically significant,” Nicolas Sarkozy told a press conference in Yerevan.

“The way Armenia covered during 20 years of its independence was successful, despite instability of the region,” he said, adding that his country has always closely watched the events in Armenia.

“Armenians remember that France gave a helping hand to them in the years of Genocide and now the numerous Armenian community of France plays important role in development of the country. Armenia is not alone,” he said.
