ARMENIAN PRESIDENT HAS LEFT FOR NEW YORK TODAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - 04.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenian President Robert Kocharian has left for New York today to take part in the UN "Millennium Summit", reported the press office of the president to MEDIAMAX. Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian accompanies the president during the visit.

On September 6-7 Armenian president will take part in a number of events held within the framework of the summit. On September 7 President Kocharian will speak at the "Summit of the Millennium".

The regular meeting of Robert Kocharian with Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev will take place in New York. There, and later in Geneva, the Armenian President will also meet with business circles representatives of the Armenian Diaspora. During these meetings possibilities and prospects for more active participation of Diaspora businessmen in the economic life of Armenia will be discussed. -0-
