DELEGATION OF ENERGY MINISTRY OF ARMENIA NEGOTIATES IN IRAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - 29.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The delegation of the Ministry of Energy of Armenia, headed by Energy Minister Karen Galustian, left on August 28 for Iran, reported to MEDIAMAX a source in the Ministry of Energy of Armenia.

According to the source, the whole range of questions presenting mutual interest for Armenian and Iranian energy departments will be discussed during the visit.

More likely, the project of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline construction will be one of the main questions to be discussed in the course of the visit of the Armenian delegation to Teheran. This construction is in the list of priority tasks of the Armenian Government in energy sphere, published in mid-August. By this document, the construction of the gas pipeline is planned to start in 2001. -0-
