A BEAR BIT A SHEPHERD TO DEATH NEAR ARMENIAN TOWN OF JERMUK

PanARMENIAN.Net - 04.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armen Hayrapetian, a 38 year old shepherd, was attacked by a bear on a pasture not far from Jermuk, reported the National TV of Armenia with a reference to the press service of the administration of Vayots Dzor region.

The shepherd was unarmed, and the bear tore him to pieces. It is notable that the bear did not attack the flock of sheep. According to the reports of the press service of the regional administration, beasts lately appear more frequently near the settlements. -0-
