TOTAL NUMBER OF CATTLE DECREASES IN RURAL SETTLEMENTS OF ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - 04.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Decrease of the total number of cattle is observed in the rural settlements of Armenia.

The peasants say that cattle-raising is not profitable today due to high cost price of meat and milk products. At the beginning of the year, in Martuni region of Armenia the total number of cattle has decreased for 800 heads as compared with 1999. -0-
