INTERNATIONAL MEDIATORS ON KARABAKH ISSUE TO ARRIVE IN YEREVAN DECEMBER 6November 29, 2003 - 19:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are expected to visit Yerevan December 6, OSCE MG Russian co-chair Yuri Merzlyakov told Arminfo agency. In his words, some ideas (not on paper yet) regarding the known proposes will be presented at the meetings with the leadership of the parties. Yuri Merzlyakov stated that the co-chairs' visit to Nagorno Karabakh is also planned, its realization however depending on a number of reasons and on the weather as well: if the way to Stepanakert is difficult to traverse, the meeting with the Karabakh leadership will be held in Yerevan. Commenting on the statements of the Azeri party that there were no agreements achieved on the Karabakh conflict settlement, the Russian co-chair noted that each party is judging in its own way. He underscored that the principal goal of the mediators' visit is to resume the negotiation process that was broken off more than a year ago. To note, Vyacheslav Trubnikov will visit the region together with the co-chairs not as the first deputy to the Russian foreign minister but as a Russian co-chair of the Minsk conference on the Karabakh settlement.
