Accession to UN Security Council dangerous to Baku itself - AGMI director

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan might be unaware of the dangers its accession to the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member will pose in future, according to Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI) director.

As Hayk Demoyan told a news conference in Yerevan, “in future, Azeri authorities will be held accountable as to the inability to solve Nagorno Karabakh issue, despite of their being represented at an influential international organization the UN is.”

Further, Demoyan expressed skepticism over the possibility for Karabakh issue to affect normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations. As he noted, “Ankara’s trying to bring about normalization without fulfilling its responsibilities and shifting the blame for suspension of Protocols on Armenia.”
