GOLDEN COIN PORTRAYING TIGRAN GREAT ISSUED IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - November 24 the Central Bank of Armenia introduced a golden jubilee coin portraying Armenian king Tigran the Great. The nominal value of the coin is 1000 Armenian drams (about $1.8). It should be noted that Tigran the Great is a prominent state figure, during the reign of which (95-56 B.C.) Armenia achieved the highest prosperity, having a territory "from sea to sea," i.e. from the Black Sea to the Caspian.
