ALIYEV SAID AZERBAIJAN INTERESTED IN ACCESSION TO NATO

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan is interested in accession to the NATO. As reported by "Arminfo" agency referring to Baku sources, Azeri president Heydar Aliyev said in the course of a meeting with chairman of the US Committee on NATO Bruce Jackson. "We are doing our best to speed up the process without excessive noise," - the Azeri president noted. In his words, the necessary work to make state of affairs in Azerbaijan comply with NATO requirements is being held within "Partnership for Peace" program. In his turn, B. Jackson said the issue of Azerbaijan's accession to the NATO might already be discussed in 2006-2007.
