STATE PROSECUTION DEMANDED LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR FIVE PARTICIPANTS OF ACT OF TERRORISM IN ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - The state prosecution demanded life imprisonment for the five criminals, who committed the act of terrorism in the Armenian parliament in 1999. The accusation was announced at the court examination lasting since 2001. The document suggests to sentence Nairi and Karen Hunanians and their uncle - Vram Galstian, as well as Eduard Grigorian and Derenik Bedjanian to life imprisonment. It should be noted that it is the extreme penalty as the death punishment was cancelled in Armenia lately. To remind, October 27, 1999 five terrorists rushed in the hall of the Armenian parliament and killed Speaker Karen Demirchian, Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsian, two vice-speakers, the minister for operative issues and three deputies.
