ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT SPEAKER DENIED RUMOR THAT INCREASING ENERGY TARIFFS EXPECTED IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The coordination council of the political coalition ruling in Armenia did not discuss the issue of possible increase of tariffs for electric power, water and gas, thus one should not expect it before January, 2004, Armenian parliament speaker Artur Baghdasarian told journalists today. In his words, in case the issue is included in the parliament agenda, he and "Orinats Yerkir" headed by him are ready to provide arguments against the rise of energy tariffs. It should be reminded that besides "Orinats Yerkir" party, the Republican Party of Armenia and Armenian Revolutionary Federation "Dashnaktsutyun" make part of the ruling political coalition.
