ARMENIA 90-TH IN "PRESS FREEDOM INDEX" RATING

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is the 90-th in "Press Freedom Index" assessment. Composed by "Reporters without Borders" non-governmental organization, the rating comprises 166 countries of the world. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, Armenia outstripped Azerbaijan (133-th), but yielded to Georgia (73-rd), which is the highest in the rating among the CIS countries. Russia and Belarus have appeared in the list at the 148-th and 151-st places respectively. The rating was composed based on a survey, in which journalists, researchers, legal experts and human rights proponents participated.
