MEDIATORS NOT READY TO COMMIT TO PAPER NEW OFFERS ON NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - It is early to expect the OSCE Minsk group co-chairmen to provide the parties to conflict officially registered offers for Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement in the course of the coming visit to the conflict region, as OSCE MG Russian co-chairman Yuri Merzlyakov told Mediamax agency today. "We should discuss and work out in detail these offers. The matter concerns the preliminary suggestions regarding not the settlement itself, but the recommencement of the peaceful process. Replying to the question whether the agreements achieved in Paris and Key West in 2001 remain in force, Merzlyakov said: "We proceed from the agreements achieved by the Armenian and Azeri presidents. I possess no information about any other agreements. We base on the points discussed by the presidents of the two countries during their last meeting almost a year ago."
