USAID PASSED NEW 4-YEAR PROGRAM IN ARMENIAFebruary 13, 2004 - 22:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - US Agency for International Development (USAID) passed a new strategic program of its activities in Armenia, the principal directions of the agency's strategy for 2004-2008 being creation of vacancies, improvement of democratic and economic administration as well as developing the social maintenance system. The new strategy reflects the USAID's transition from immediate humanitarian aid to long-term assistance aimed at the further development. The representatives of the RA government, private sector and civil society as well as other interested partner-organizations took part in the strategy working out.
