Mortality from cardiovascular diseases makes 55% of all deaths

PanARMENIAN.Net - Cardiovascular diseases are the most frequent cause of mortality but science is developing as well, Armenian Health Minister Haturyun Kushkyan said when opening the Euro-Caucasian Forum of Cardiologists on October 29.



Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan and Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan also made opening remarks.



"Mortality from cardiovascular diseases makes 55% of all deaths," said academician Karlen Adamyan, President of Armenian Association of Cardiologists. He also informed that Armenian pavilion was established in European Congress this year.



For his part, head of Armenia-France Health Actions program Avetis Matikyan emphasized that Armenian cardiology is most developed in South Caucasus.
