Cleansing of Sevan basin from water-covered trees to launch in the next few days

PanARMENIAN.Net - Water Master special equipment for cleansing Sevan basin from water-covered trees was imported from Finland, with cleansing works to begin in the next few days, Armenian Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan stated.

As he told a news conference in Yerevan, on October 19, a workgroup to examine legal status of unregistered Sevan-adjacent constructions was formed.

On October 19, Global Environment Facility CEO Monique Barbut was briefed on Sevan-related issues. As the Minister remarked, Ms. Barbute specifically noted the clarity and transparency of lake water.
