Yerevan to host exhibit & tasting of national Armenian dishes June 12 June 8, 2011 - 17:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 12, Yerevan will host an exhibit & tasting of national Armenian dishes. As the chairman of Preservation and Development of Armenian Culinary Traditions NGO Sedrak Mamulyan told a news conference, Yerevan's Erebuni Museum will host the event featuring dishes served at 13 traditional Armenian holidays, as well as those of the Assyrian cuisine. “Georgian and Iranian chefs were invited to demonstrate their skills,” he noted, adding that price for the dishes presented will be purely symbolic. The proceeds from the event will be donated to a school in Armenia. As the NGO director Garik Gevoryan stated, a number of events dedicated to Armenian cuisine have been planned for 2011; here belong, Dolma Festival due July 14 in Sardarapat, Barbecue Festival to be held September 17-18 in Akhtala and All Armenian Culinary Festival due October 15; Bread Festival is planned for 2012.
