Judoist David Ghazaryan wins bronze at Singapore Olympics

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian judoist David Ghazaryan (66 kg weight class) started performance at Singapore Olympics on August 21.

Ghazaryan’s 3 matches ended in his victory over Paolo Persoglia(San Marino), Phuc Cai (Denmark), Kestutis Vitkauskas (Lithuania), followed by defeat from Maxamillian Schneider (USA).

Ghazaryan won 20:10 in a fight against Beka Tugushi (Georgia) to gain Olympics bronze.

Maxamillian Schneider won the first place at the championship, with Hyon Song Chol as a runner up.

Thus, Armenian team has scored 4 medals: weightlifter Smbat Margaryan (56 kg weight class) and wrestler Artak Hovhannesyan (46 kg weight class) won bronze; weightlifter Gor Minasyan (85 kg weight class) became a silver medalist.
