Wrestler David Safaryan qualifies for London Olympics

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian wrestler, bronze medalist of 2012 European Championships David Safaryan (66 kg) made it to the final of the European qualifying tournament in Bulgaria, winning a ticket to London Olympics.

After scoring a 4:1 win over Romania’s Yan Ceaban in ¼ final, he beat Martin Sebastian (Germany) in the semifinal.

He will face off against Ali Shabanau in the final.

Contenders to occupy 1-2 places will gain entry to London Olympics. Mihran Jaburyan (55 kg) will also represent Armenia at Summer Olympic Games.
