EBRD CAN ALLOCATE $30-40 MILLION FOR BUILDING NEW HYDROPOWER STATIONS IN ARMENIAMay 4, 2004 - 21:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) can allocate $30-40 million for the building of new hydropower plants in Armenia, Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Tigran Sargsian stated in Yerevan today. In his words, the issue was discussed in London at the meeting of the EBRD Board of Governors. As noted by T. Sargsian, according to the preliminary data, the total cost of the project of building new small and medium hydropower plants in Armenia will make some $100 million.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
