Armenian midfielder breaks nose in a match

PanARMENIAN.Net - Donetsk Metallurg FC midfielder of Karlen Mkrtchyan commented on their match with Simferopol’s Tavria team.

“I was in the middle and wanted to throw a pass to my fellows when Adeleye hit my nose with his hand. I lost consciousness while falling,” Mkrtchyan said.

According to him, his nose is most likely broken. “As soon as we arrive in Donetsk, I’ll go see a doctor to have my nose X-rayed,” he said adding he hopes to play in Ukraine’s Cup semi-final.

“I don’t know what doctors will say, but I’m much eager to play. Every match is crucial for Metallurg, and this is a key meeting for us,” the halfback stated.

Metallurg will play a semi-final match against Karpaty FC in Donetsk on April 28.
