Armenian President visits Shirak province![]() April 30, 2012 - 13:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan visited Shirak province on April 29, presidential press service said. During his working visit Sargsyan went to see the cultural and educational institutions in some Shirak communities, in particular, the renovated cultural center in Azatan village and the newly built one in Mayisyan rural community. In addition, the President visited a school construction site in Ashotsk village which was launched in July 2011, to be over by May 2013. The school which is being built with AGBU support is expected to welcome 400 pupils. Sargsyan also attended the final match of Armenia's Football Cup held at renovated stadium in the city of Gyumri. During his provincial visit, the Armenian leader took part in the memorandum signing between the government and D-Link International company on long-term cooperation with regard to Gyumri Technopark construction. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
