New Times party: no vote for coalition members

PanARMENIAN.Net - New Times party had a meeting on April 29 to discuss the party’s stance on political forces heading for the parliamentary elections on May 6.

As the party’s press service told PanARMENIAN.net, New Times leader Aram Karapetyan presented the political developments in Armenia that followed March 18, 2012 meeting of their party.

Participants of the gathering reiterated confidence that people should participate in May 6 elections; they urged the Armenian citizens not to give a single vote to any political force in the ruling coalition (Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia, Orinats Yerkir).

Party’s supporters suggested that the New Times board should come up with a political statement on the topic.

Parliamentary elections are due in Armenia on May 6 featuring 8 political parties (Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Orinats Yerkir, Heritage, Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA), Communist Party of Armenia and United Armenian party, as well as one election bloc represented by opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC).
