Armenia, Cyprus sign military cooperation programApril 30, 2012 - 18:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 29, First Deputy Defense Minister, Cypriot head of Armenia-Cyprus intergovernmental commission on military and military –technical cooperation Christos Malikkides arrived in Armenia on a four-day visit. As a part of the visit the first meeting of intergovernmental commission was held on April 30, chaired by Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Alik Mirzabekyan. The parties discussed commission’s further activity, cooperation areas in military and military technical fields. Upon completion of the meeting, Armenia-Cyprus international military cooperation program was signed for 2012. RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with heads of the commission on the same day, underscoring the military-political ties between the two countries, as well as the cooperation areas in military and military-technical fields.
