ARMENAL output rises by 2% in Q1 2012![]() May 14, 2012 - 13:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan foil rolling plant ARMENAL produced 6020 tons of foil in the first quarter of 2012, which is 2% more than the planned index. According to Armenia’s Customs Service, ARMENAL exported 5897 tons of foil in January-March 2012, which is 0.5% or 30 tons more than in the same period in 2011. ARMENAL accounted for 5.5% of Armenia’s total export volume in Q1 2012. The plant’s taxes to the state budget accounted for AMD 299.2 mln in the reporting period, which is almost 40% more than the 2011 similar index. According to the press service of the company, ARMENAL contributed AMD 67.6 mln (5.1% growth) to Social Security Fund. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision. Kerobyan has said that for the first time in the history of Armenia, the volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about $1 billion. Partner news |
