Lebanese Armenians raise $57 000 for Artsakh reforms

PanARMENIAN.Net - For several days different Armenian centers of Lebanon hosted celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the liberation of Shushi.

On May 13, “Shushi” ARFD Committee hosted an inauguration of a memorial dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the liberation of Shushi, RA MFA reported.

On May 9, a radio marathon was organized on the initiative of Lebanese foundation of “Artsakh”, Voice of Van radio station.

About $57 000 raised during the event will be directed to implementation of social and economic reforms in Artsakh.

On the same day, the city also hosted a festive evening featuring lectures by editor-in-chief of Ararad Daily Newspaper Aharon Shekherdemian.

On May 5, a performance by Karkach children's and youth chorus was held at concert hall of American University of Beirut (AUB). Armenia-based musician Ivan Vardanyan and RA ambassador to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian attended the event.
