TURKEY MADE VISA REGIME WITH ARMENIA STRICTER

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey today declared it is making the visa regime with Armenia stricter in response to International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress passing a resolution on the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. "From now on to obtain visas Armenian citizens will have to address diplomatic representations of Turkey abroad," - the Foreign Ministry statement says. Earlier, Armenians could easily obtain entry visas on the frontier points of the two neighboring countries or at the Istanbul international airport upon the arrival via chartered flights from Yerevan and Tbilisi. As reported by ITAR-TASS, now they will have to appeal to Turkish diplomatic representations in third countries, as Turkey and Armenia do not have diplomatic relations.
