IRANIAN PRESIDENT ARRIVED IN ARMENIA ON OFFICIAL CALL

PanARMENIAN.Net - This morning on the invitation of Armenian President Robert Kocharian, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) Mohammad Khatami arrived in Yerevan on a two-day official visit. As reported by Haylur program of the Public TV Company of Armenia, Prime Minister Andranik Margarian met him in the airport. The delegation headed by President Khatami includes the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance and Economy, Trade and other officials. Today the Presidents will have a meeting in private, then expanded composition talks will be held. It should be noted that bilateral documents are planned to be signed within the framework of the visit. The delegation headed by M. Khatami will visit the monument to the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey and will lay wreaths to the memorial. The IRI President will also address the sitting of the National Assembly of Armenia, will meet with Prime Minister Andranik Margarian, Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and will visit Yerevan State University.
