ARMENIAN SPEAKER RECEIVED REPRESENTATIVE OF UN HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR REFUGEES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Artur Baghdasarian received representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia Peter Nicolaus and representative of the Norwegian Refugee Council in Armenia Tim Straight. In the course of the meeting it was noted that the medium-term state spending program provides for allocation of $5 million to solve the problems of refugees. Having emphasized the importance of the mission of the Council of Refugees, formed under the Chairman of the Armenian Parliament, P. Nicolaus and T. Straight said they were ready to cooperate with the Council and to promote final solution of refugee problems.
