ARMENIAN PRIME MINISTER RECEIVED IMF MISSION CHIEFSeptember 8, 2004 - 22:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margarian today received Chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission Enrique Gelbard. As reported by the Press Service of the Armenian Government, having evaluated the cooperation with Armenia as productive, the IMF representative noted that his recurrent visit aims at continuing the dialogue and discussing financial and economic issues with representatives of the executive authority of Armenia. Among such questions were noted problems of supporting small and medium business in the country, relations between business and the state, expansion of cooperation between respective state structures. Thereupon A. Margarian presented his approaches, steps taken and available problems. Upon the completion of the meeting the Prime Minister expressed hope for cooperation with the IMF to help solve those problems.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
