ARMENIAN PRESIDENT TO LEAVE FOR ASTANA TODAY TO PARTICIPATE IN SUMMIT OF CIS HEADS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian is leaving for the Kazakh capital of Astana to participate in the two-day Summit of CIS heads. In the light of the latest tragic events in Russia, discussion of the question of consolidation of efforts of the CIS states in withstanding terrorism will occupy a central place in the agenda of the sittings. Besides, signing of important documents referring to strengthening struggle against terrorism, organized crime, drug aggression and illegal migration is planned. It should be noted that within the summit framework talks between Armenian and Azeri Presidents Robert Kocharian and Ilham Aliyev on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be held. This evening in Astana a trilateral meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the two state heads will also take place. It should be reminded that I. Aliyev will participate in a meeting of such format for the first time: in the former three Azerbaijan was represented by his father Heydar Aliyev.
