Armenia, Australia ready to deepen cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 25, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Australian Prime Minister’s special envoy to Eastern Europe, the Balkans and the Caucasus Russell Trood.

According to RA MFA press service, Minister Nalbandian noted that Armenia attaches great importance to development of cooperation with Australia, with Mr. Trood’s visit serving another opportunity to exchange standpoints regarding different issues.

Australian official, in turn, stressed his visit as display of Australian authorities’ interest in deepening of relations with Armenia, underscoring the importance of a high level regular political dialogue.

The parties further discussed prospects of expanding cooperation in the framework of international organizations and developments in the South Caucasus.

Upon completion of the meeting, Mr. Trood conveyed to Minister Nalbandian Australian Foreign Minister’s invitation to visit Sydney.
