CIS FRONTIER GUARDING COMMON SYSTEM BEING FORMED

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday in Bishkek a decision was made to form a common system of guarding the frontiers of the CIS member states at a sitting of the Council of the commanders of frontier troops of the Commonwealth countries. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, the meeting participants agreed to strengthen the control in the territories of the CIS states adjoining Afghanistan to prevent arms and drug penetration from there. Addressing the sitting, chairman of the Council, ex-director of the federal frontier service of Russia Constantine Totsky expressed an opinion that the possible war in Iraq might negatively tell on the security of the CIS southern borders.
