  Azeri refugees demand to be sent back to Armenia, threaten self-immolation (video)  August 10, 2012 - 16:57 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - Recent protest actions in Azerbaijan’s Rasulzadeh settlement (Binagadi district) proved Azeris’ disbelieve in their authorities’ propaganda, claiming Armenia’s living standards are much worse than in their own country. 61 families residing in Azeri Rasulzadeh settlement in the Binagadi district will remain homeless due to the extension of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and demolition of their houses, contact.az reported. Though residents staged different actions to draw attention, they went unnoticed. Recently, they were offered compensation by Binagadi district administration. However, the residents, mostly refugees from Armenia, assessed the compensation insufficient. Attempts were made to block Ziya Bunyadov Avenue in protest against the demolition of houses. Police arrived. The residents pledged to take all measures to have the amount of the compensation increased. In Objective TV program, a group of female protesters demanded they be sent back to Armenia, threatening to set their houses on fire. A woman, outraged by Azeri authorities’ disregard, reiterated demand to be sent back to Armenia, threatening self-immolation.
